EC Guará - FPEMZ's Paulo José Xavier got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for EC Guará - FPEMZ! When Paulo José Xavier came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the EC Guará - FPEMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo José Xavier couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Dortmund JF booed when EC Guará - FPEMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cido Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anderson Pirani, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Kauã dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. EC Guará - FPEMZ's João Adolfo Camargo suffered a sore thigh after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Genílson Simão charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genílson Simão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kauã dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dortmund JF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Paulo José Xavier 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caetano Barbosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Caetano Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Dortmund JF fans jumped to their feet. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Caetano Barbosa took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Torgeir Lie to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 69 minutes, Cido Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Guará - FPEMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cido Favoretto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Caetano Barbosa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Torgeir Lie. Caetano Barbosa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Kauã dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Fred Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Kauã dos Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fred Castro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. EC Guará - FPEMZ's Torgeir Lie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save EC Guará - FPEMZ from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Caetano Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dortmund JF's supporters rose to their feet, but Caetano Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torgeir Lie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Dortmund JF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
