The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dinei Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Ceresso in the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Ramos in the 5th minute of play forced Tapa's goalkeeper Dinei Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Tapa's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Ceresso came free, but Dinei Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Ramón Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Tapa's Luís Fernando Borges got a free kick in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélio Ramos in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dinei Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tapa's goalkeeper Dinei Vieira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Life Style FC's Dudu Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Custódio Oliveira in the 28th minute of play. Custódio Oliveira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dudu Abreu came out and tried to block the shot, but Custódio Oliveira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 32nd minute. When Hélio Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Life Style FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélio Ramos couldn't finish the play. Life Style FC's Téo Ceresso got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hélio Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Custódio Oliveira made a kick off. Dinei Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the game, Régis Mazza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tapa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Life Style FC the free kick. The supporters of Life Style FC booed when Tapa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Régis Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute of the match Vinícius Gaúcho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dinei Vieira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Custódio Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tapa's supporters rose to their feet, but Custódio Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dudu Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hélio Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Dinei Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Téo Ceresso came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Life Style FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Téo Ceresso couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute of the match, Téo Ceresso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dinei Vieira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 80th minute, Hélio Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd match minute, Tapa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Pereira to maneuver through the defense. In the 84thth minute of the game Téo Ceresso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tapa's Dinei Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Life Style FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Inácio Guimarães hit a great ball. In the 91st minute Téo Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Life Style FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
