Nico Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Maia having to interfere. Crickets FC's Vivaldo Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivaldo Zonta got free with Faustão Maia in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Carlos Monteiro during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of FC RAUTA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Crickets FC:s goal. Crickets FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nico Magalhães in the 15th minute. The corner led Crickets FC's Angelo Mesquita to fire away a dangerous shot which Faustão Maia despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of FC RAUTA booed when Crickets FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Crickets FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benê Quirino came free, but Igor Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vivaldo Zonta in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustão Maia saved FC RAUTA from getting behind. In the 24th play minute Nico Magalhães came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Faustão Maia. 1-1. After 28 played minutes FC RAUTA got a freekick which was hit by Betão Machado. Márcio Nunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Faustão Maia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Márcio Nunes ran back to his position shaking his head. Nico Magalhães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Faustão Maia having to make a save. Vivaldo Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Maia having to interfere. Faustão Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Furlan in the 61st minute of the match. Benê Quirino's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Igor Xavier skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 65th minute, Manuel Favoretto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC RAUTA's zone, Márcio Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustão Maia came out of the goal and Márcio Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Crickets FC fully deserved thier win.
