Cristian Arce hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. When Cristian Arce fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Florescente's protests and gave Cristian Arce a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 minutes, Vicente Nóbrega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EMAD F.C and the Florescente players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Amaral in the 18th minute of play forced EMAD F.C's goalkeeper Donato de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to EMAD F.C getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Beto Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Florescente's supporters rose to their feet, but Beto Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato de Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raí Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raí Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 61 minutes into the game, one of Florescente:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 68 minutes into the game, Oséas de Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Florescente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EMAD F.C the free kick. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Florescente! Florescente:s Andrézinho de Amorim showed great skill when he stopped Tiago Gabriel Paulista:s penalty.
