After a defensive mix-up in Azurra Futebol Clube's zone, Ronaldo Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmyr Koehler came out of the goal and Ronaldo Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, EONBONGO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo Souza came free, but Ricardo Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Azurra Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after EONBONGO FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alan Almeida took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Trevisan in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walmyr Koehler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Azurra Futebol Clube's Manfredo Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tales Mendes hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 34 minutes, Ronaldo Trevisan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EONBONGO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Trevisan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Jerônimo Souza made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Hermes. EONBONGO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Manfredo Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Hermes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. When the match had been going on for 48 minutes, EONBONGO FC's Dráuzio Neves got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Walmyr Koehler. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 53 minutes, Fabrício de Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EONBONGO FC and the Azurra Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes EONBONGO FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício de Barros. The long shot by Alan Almeida in the 54th minute really tested Ricardo Hermes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 56 minutes into the game, Alan Brodel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardo Hermes. Alan Brodel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. EONBONGO FC's Ricardo Hermes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save EONBONGO FC from getting a goal against them. Edgar Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute of the game Rafa Ramalho made a throw-in which Ernani Ferraz played forward. Antônio Carlos Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Hermes having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Tales Mendes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EONBONGO FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azurra Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 69th match minute, EONBONGO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tales Mendes to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Azurra Futebol Clube's Ricardo Hermes threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jerônimo Souza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 72 minutes into the match, Azurra Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Dante came free, but Walmyr Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Azurra Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Carlos Matos to maneuver through the defense. Manfredo Araújo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Manfredo Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Matos in the 83rd minute of play forced EONBONGO FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Manfredo Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Azurra Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manfredo Araújo couldn't finish the play. Edgar Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Manfredo Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jerônimo Souza came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Azurra Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerônimo Souza couldn't finish the play.
