Giovani Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Liberato EC's zone, Elói Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelsinho Macedo came out of the goal and Elói Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Carlos Alberto Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelsinho Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Liberato EC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Matos came free, but Nelsinho Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carlos Alberto Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liberato EC's Nelsinho Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Matos in the 21st minute of play. In the 27th minute, Baluarte FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nando Nunes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Nando Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baluarte FC's Váldson Terra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Baluarte FC from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute of the match, Giovani Costa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Váldson Terra saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 46 played minutes Baluarte FC got a freekick which was hit by Elói Toscano.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giovani Costa was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Baluarte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Leite to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giovani Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Váldson Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute Carlos Alberto Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Wilson Matos came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Baluarte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson Matos couldn't finish the play. Wilson Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Nelsinho Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Carlos Alberto Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Baluarte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Alberto Cardoso couldn't finish the play. Nelsinho Macedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Alberto Cardoso's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 93rd minute Liberato EC were awarded a corner. Alex Queiroz went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Alex Queiroz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Váldson Terra quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
