Nando Nunes struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Manolo Maciel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liberato EC. Ciriaco's Manolo Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovani Costa in the 4th minute of play. If Nando Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giovani Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolo Maciel having to interfere. Manolo Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Costa in the 14th minute of play. Nando Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolo Maciel having to interfere. A collision led to Ciriaco getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ramiro Ortiz hit a great ball. After 22 minutes, Giovani Costa made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ciriaco's Manolo Maciel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Liberato EC's Nelsinho Macedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Liberato EC from getting a goal against them. If Giovani Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovani Costa in the 31st minute of play forced Ciriaco's goalkeeper Manolo Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Ciriaco's goal looked a bit too open when Giovani Costa came free, but Manolo Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Túlio Brodel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ciriaco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liberato EC the free kick. After 39 played minutes Ciriaco got a freekick which was hit by Túlio Brodel.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giovani Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Nando Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 53rd minute Giovani Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolo Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Giovani Costa scored to the left of an out of position Manolo Maciel, making the score, 0-2. Cléberson Quaresma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liberato EC's Edu Goiano shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Manolo Maciel but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Ciriaco's Ramiro Ortiz got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 65 minutes, Giovani Costa made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Ciriaco's Manolo Maciel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th minute Dinei Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Ciriaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Lara to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 84 minutes, Willian Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liberato EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willian Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giovani Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manolo Maciel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Dinei Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Nelsinho Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinei Queiroz in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelsinho Macedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Liberato EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
