Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tostão Pombal took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Tostão Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4thth minute of the game Maurinho Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Young FC's Armandinho Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Tostão Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute Maurinho Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armandinho Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugênio Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Young FC's Armandinho Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur de Amorim in the 11th minute of play. Andrézinho Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Pernambucano having to interfere. Pedrinho Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Eugênio Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Capibaribe's zone, Tostão Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugênio Pernambucano came out of the goal and Tostão Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrézinho Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Eugênio Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinho Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Pernambucano having to interfere. Andrézinho Pernambucano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Andrézinho Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Maurinho Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armandinho Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tostão Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Pedrinho Tepedino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Waldemar Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Pernambucano having to interfere. If Tostão Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Tostão Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugênio Pernambucano was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 53rd minute, José Maria Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tostão Pombal in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugênio Pernambucano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eugênio Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrézinho Pernambucano in the 57th minute of the match. Pedrinho Tepedino took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugênio Pernambucano. Eugênio Pernambucano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. José Maria Meira charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Maria Meira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Capibaribe's José Maria Meira got a free kick in the 65th minute. Capibaribe's Eugênio Pernambucano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Capibaribe from getting a goal against them. Pedrinho Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Eugênio Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Bueno during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Capibaribe a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luís Fabiano Trigo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Young FC's Armandinho Freire. 1-1. Eugênio Pernambucano didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 83rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. 87 minutes into the game, Andrézinho Pernambucano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eugênio Pernambucano. Andrézinho Pernambucano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Tostão Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Young FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tostão Pombal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugênio Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Young FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
