The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Natanael Perez made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe Borges in the 51st minute of play forced Birutas FC's goalkeeper Arlindo Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Capibaribe's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nicolas Ceresso fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Capibaribe getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Tiago Alcântara hit a great ball. Eugênio Pernambucano made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Nicolas Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute, Oscar Pernambucano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Birutas FC's Eugênio Pernambucano threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Natanael Perez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nicolas Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
