After having played for 3 minutes, Marcus Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guerreiros Legendarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamim de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Baiano having to interfere. Mazinho Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Machado in the 10th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Aru SC's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Penha came free, but Christian Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamim de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beto Penha in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After taking down the ball on Guerreiros Legendarios's corner Vânderson Senna fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Christian Baiano quite easily take care of the ball. If Beto Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Christian Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamim de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Aru SC's Sérgio Machado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mazinho Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Marcus Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guerreiros Legendarios's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Guerreiros Legendarios fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Guerreiros Legendarios's Beto Penha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Guerreiros Legendarios's Beto Penha got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 37 minutes, Vânderson Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guerreiros Legendarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vânderson Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Aru SC's Luís Eduardo Dracena got a free kick in the 38th minute. After 41st play minutes Beto Penha shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Christian Baiano and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Aru SC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Yuri Leite hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sérgio Machado was the one to do the kick off. Benjamim de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Christian Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Guerreiros Legendarios got a freekick which was hit by Beto Penha. After 57 played minutes Aru SC got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Machado. 58 minutes into the match, Beto Penha notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Aru SC's Christian Baiano. Christian Baiano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Beto Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Christian Baiano made a huge save. Marcus Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Baiano having to interfere. Rubens de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Christian Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Adelino Urbano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aru SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guerreiros Legendarios the free kick. Guerreiros Legendarios made a substitution. Joel Antunes replaced Beto Penha. After 71 played minutes Aru SC got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Urbano. Vânderson Senna might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Baiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vânderson Senna ran back to his position shaking his head. Joel Antunes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 74 minutes into the match, Aru SC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Antunes came free, but Christian Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Marcus Almeida notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Aru SC's Christian Baiano. Christian Baiano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Christian Baiano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vânderson Senna showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 82 minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Marcus Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guerreiros Legendarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Antunes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Christian Baiano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Benjamim de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Christian Baiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Antunes in the 90th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Aru SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willian Pirani to maneuver through the defense. When Benjamim de Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Guerreiros Legendarios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamim de Godoi couldn't finish the play. Joel Antunes struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Christian Baiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guerreiros Legendarios. Guerreiros Legendarios played a much better game than Aru SC and deserved their victory. The Aru SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
