Pedrinho Santana's late challenge caught a Crisolita EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrinho Santana helped the player get up and apologised. Pedrinho Santana hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Dedê Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Paranaense in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natã Antunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Esperantina booed when Crisolita EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão Aparecido didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Paranaense in the 23rd minute of play forced Esperantina's goalkeeper Natã Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Richard Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natã Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Esperantina getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Digo Mendonça hit a great ball. 29 minutes in the game, Edgard Seco fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Zeca Secco having to interfere. Natã Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Paulo Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Natã Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Richard Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crisolita EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natã Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Ronaldão Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Antunes having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Richard Paranaense made a kick off. When Luiz Paulo Souto came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Crisolita EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Paulo Souto couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esperantina's goalkeeper Natã Antunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dedê Brodel in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeca Secco saved Crisolita EC from getting behind. Natã Antunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Paulo Souto in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Crisolita EC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Seco came free, but Zeca Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Richard Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natã Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Paulo Souto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 71st playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Esperantina's zone, Luiz Paulo Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natã Antunes came out of the goal and Luiz Paulo Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 79 minutes, Digo Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esperantina and the Crisolita EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Esperantina's Digo Mendonça got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 83 minutes, Dorival Ferreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crisolita EC and the Esperantina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luiz Paulo Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Paranaense in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Crisolita EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
