In the 3rd minute Magno Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mohameds Club booed when Piche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Mohameds Club defense, Thiago do Valle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizão Proença. The Mohameds Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizão Proença should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Piche's zone, Magno Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Abreu came out of the goal and Magno Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evandro Pereira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Daniel Abreu made a huge save. In the 25thth minute of the game Magno Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piche's Daniel Abreu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Mohameds Club defense, Mazinho Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizão Proença. The Mohameds Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizão Proença should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the match, Mohameds Club's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago do Valle came free, but Luizão Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago do Valle struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Luizão Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piche. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Magno Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Giovanni Seco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Daniel Abreu. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Mohameds Club's Amílton Messias got a free kick in the 70th minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Thiago do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piche's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thiago do Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evandro Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Daniel Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Piche's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Giovanni Seco was slow to take the kick. During this time Mohameds Club's players had a chance to rest. Piche's Daniel Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Pereira in the 82nd minute of play. Inácio Messias's late challenge caught a Piche's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inácio Messias helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Mohameds Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Messias to maneuver through the defense. If Evandro Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Evandro Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mohameds Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Evandro Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 95 minutes, Evandro Pereira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mohameds Club and the Piche players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Piche booed when Mohameds Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball.
