Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bebeto Tande started the match with the kick off. Bebeto Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Epigua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bebeto Tande came free, but Antônio Carlos Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that André Luiz de Godoy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualter do Valle was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. A nice corner shot did that João Paulo Rezende got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Antônio Carlos Recife quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Léo Silva, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gualter do Valle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Lopez went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Epigua FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Erasmo Simões hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Imperadores FC's Bebeto Tande dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Imperadores FC's Rafinha Couto got a free kick in the 34th minute. André Luiz de Godoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter do Valle having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Imperadores FC's Bebeto Tande ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Antônio Carlos Recife. Antônio Carlos Recife yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Imperadores FC's Gualter do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz de Godoy in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

In the 51stth minute of the game Hernani Corrêa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Epigua FC's Antônio Carlos Recife was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Antônio Carlos Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bebeto Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 61 minutes into the match, Epigua FC's Clemente Lopez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualter do Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Epigua FC's André Luiz de Godoy got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Epigua FC's Clemente Lopez in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bebeto Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Antônio Carlos Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rômulo Gomes in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antônio Carlos Recife saved Epigua FC from getting behind. Clemente Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Clemente Lopez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gualter do Valle. That made the score 2-3 in the 96 minute of play.
