Miguel Tepedino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Galvão in the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Serginho Souza made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Tepedino. Londrina Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Miguel Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serginho Souza in the 11th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Wanderson Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Torreao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Londrina Esporte Clube the free kick. Hernani Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Neto in the 17th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Londrina Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano da Mata. Serafim Simões hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Londrina Esporte Clube defense, Serginho Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Tepedino. The Londrina Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Tepedino should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Leonardo Neto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hernani Bezerra, 1-2. Doriva Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, João Moreno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Tepedino was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Serafim Alagoano made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Londrina Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Miguel Tepedino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Moreno. In the 57th match minute, Londrina Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilton de Senna to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute of the match, Serginho Souza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miguel Tepedino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. João Moreno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Miguel Tepedino made a huge save. In the 64th minute, Leonardo Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Doriva Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute Serginho Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Moreno got free with Miguel Tepedino in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Moreno came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Miguel Tepedino could save by the left post. In the 79th minute, Sílvio Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Londrina Esporte Clube's Luiz Fabiano da Mata got a free kick in the 80th minute. Miguel Tepedino came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Torreao's João Moreno. But to his dismay, João Moreno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Moreno got free with Miguel Tepedino in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Londrina Esporte Clube's Miguel Tepedino got control of the ball when João Moreno tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute, Torreao's João Moreno ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Miguel Tepedino. Miguel Tepedino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. After a rather tough play, Londrina Esporte Clube's Serafim Simões got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Torreao's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
