Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Abelardo Antunes got the match started through his kick off. After some careless play in the Quixelo defense, Abelardo Antunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Porta. The Quixelo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Porta should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute, Quixelo's Luís Guilherme Penha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, Quixelo's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Antunes came free, but Augusto Porta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Quixelo's Adão Candal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hélio Varela. That made the score 2-1 after 22 minutes of play. Caio Pinheiro hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Abelardo Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Guaraipos FC's Anderson Gaspar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Anderson Gaspar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Guaraipos FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Anderson Gaspar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 33 played minutes Guaraipos FC got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Gaspar. João Vítor Freitas, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 36th match minute, Guaraipos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano França to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Porta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Porta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Mattos in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Guilherme Penha to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Guaraipos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Antunes to maneuver through the defense. After 53 played minutes Guaraipos FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano França. When Felipe Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Guaraipos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Nogueira couldn't finish the play. Quixelo's Álvaro Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Felipe Nogueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guaraipos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If Adão Candal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Nogueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Augusto Porta made a huge save. After 86 minutes of play, Quixelo's Valdir de Souza made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélio Varela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luís Guilherme Penha might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélio Varela. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Guilherme Penha ran back to his position shaking his head. Guaraipos FC's Hélio Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adão Candal in the 92nd minute of play. The supporters of Quixelo booed when Guaraipos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano França didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guaraipos FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Quixelo.
