When Adalberto Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Espingarda SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adalberto Tinoco couldn't finish the play. In the 6th match minute, CACIQUE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeu Meireles to maneuver through the defense. Belmiro Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Betinho Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renan Araújo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maurinho Rossi in the 13th minute. In the 14th match minute, Espingarda SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdemar de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. CACIQUE FC's Chico Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Chico Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Espingarda SC booed when CACIQUE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Belmiro Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute of the match CACIQUE FC got a corner. Espingarda SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jardel Mesquita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on CACIQUE FC's corner Jardel Mesquita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Renan Araújo quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Carlos Alberto Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espingarda SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betinho Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Maurinho Rossi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maurinho Rossi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 43rd play minutes Chico Galvão shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Renan Araújo and just under the crossbar into goal. When Carlos Alberto Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Espingarda SC fans jumped to their feet. After some careless play in the Espingarda SC defense, Maurinho Rossi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renan Araújo. The Espingarda SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renan Araújo should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute of the match Geovani Vargas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renan Araújo skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Maurinho Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot. CACIQUE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurinho Rossi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renan Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chico Galvão struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Renan Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CACIQUE FC. When Luís Fernando Batista was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 70 minutes had been played. After 71 played minutes CACIQUE FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fernando Batista. Maurinho Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th match minute, Espingarda SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Proença to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Eduardo Proença charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Eduardo Proença the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th match minute, Espingarda SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Proença to maneuver through the defense. Maurinho Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Araújo having to interfere. Enrique Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 87 minutes of play, CACIQUE FC's Maurinho Rossi made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renan Araújo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frederico Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frederico Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Espingarda SC! In the 97th minute there was a penalty for CACIQUE FC. Jardel Mesquita stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Renan Araújo. 5-0. CACIQUE FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
