Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Nico da Fonseca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Paes having to make a save. A sloppy throw-in by Toninho Branco in the 7th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Clube Atlético Tubarão's Ezequiel Romero. Dito de Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Renato de Queirós's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Clube Atlético Tubarão's Ezequiel Romero managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Toninho Branco in the 11 minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Queimabota FC's zone, Ezequiel Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dito de Amaral came out of the goal and Ezequiel Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Clube Atlético Tubarão booed when Queimabota FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademir Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dito de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomé Ferreira in the 18th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, one of Queimabota FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Clube Atlético Tubarão a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sebastião Cerezo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Queimabota FC's Dito de Amaral. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Queimabota FC's zone, Tomé Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dito de Amaral came out of the goal and Tomé Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Renato de Queirós in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dito de Amaral saved Queimabota FC from getting behind. Carlos Fernando Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the game, Elói Donatello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Atlético Tubarão's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Queimabota FC the free kick. A collision led to Clube Atlético Tubarão getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Elói Donatello hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Nico da Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. If Nico da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nestor Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico da Fonseca in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Clube Atlético Tubarão getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Túlio Godoi hit a great ball. Carlos Fernando Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nico da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Nestor Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Queimabota FC's Nestor Paes threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nico da Fonseca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ezequiel Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Nico da Fonsecas short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Nestor Paes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 76 minutes, Nico da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Queimabota FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico da Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Clube Atlético Tubarão fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Clube Atlético Tubarão's Paulo Renato de Queirós looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Paulo Renato de Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dito de Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Renato de Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head.
