If Nico da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Nico da Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Guilherme Melo was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Ardeira AD's Luís Guilherme Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico da Fonseca in the 9th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Queimabota FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardinho Costa. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Valdemar Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardeira AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dito de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cipriano de Almeida scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Guilherme Melo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Eliseu Gaspar put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ardeira AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! Ricardinho Costa placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Luís Guilherme Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano de Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes of play, Ardeira AD's Ian Prado made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dito de Amaral was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nico da Fonseca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Guilherme Melo having to make a save. Luís Guilherme Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico da Fonseca in the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Nico da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Queimabota FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico da Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nico da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Perivaldo da Silva was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Nico da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Guilherme Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico da Fonseca in the 60th minute of the match. Cipriano de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Guilherme Melo having to interfere. Nico da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Carlos Fernando Camargo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 70th match minute, Ardeira AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perivaldo da Silva to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Ardeira AD's Luís Guilherme Melo got control of the ball when Nico da Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luís Guilherme Melo came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Queimabota FC's Nico da Fonseca. But to his dismay, Nico da Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Nico da Fonseca sped through Ardeira AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Guilherme Melo. Nico da Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Luís Guilherme Melo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Queimabota FC. Valdomiro Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nico da Fonseca in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Guilherme Melo saved Ardeira AD from getting behind. A hard shot 94 in the game by Nico da Fonseca from a close distance when the talented Luís Guilherme Melo managed to make a qualified save. Ardeira AD's players were relieved. Queimabota FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
