After 16 minutes, Haroldo Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itachama EC and the Toronto Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Itachama EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Couto in the 18th minute of play forced Toronto Team's goalkeeper Dedê Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Enio Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Toronto Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itachama EC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Toronto Team's Enio Rocha got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Toronto Team's Dedê Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Nascimento in the 25th minute of play. When Toronto Team's Narciso Pena in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Narciso Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Catarinense having to interfere. José Maria Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Narciso Penas short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Laerte Catarinense to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 45 minutes in the game, Luizinho Barros fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Laerte Catarinense having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Maria Valle during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José Maria Valle hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Narciso Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Laerte Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narciso Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, José Palmeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laerte Catarinense was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Dedê Tande made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Nascimento in the 75th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Gomes during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Itachama EC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jonathan Gomes hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Narciso Pena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laerte Catarinense was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Narciso Pena put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Laerte Catarinense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Narciso Pena in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laerte Catarinense saved Itachama EC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Couto in the 93rd minute of play forced Toronto Team's goalkeeper Dedê Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toronto Team's Dedê Tande proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Toronto Team from getting a goal against them. Haroldo Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
