Dráusio Gerber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Toscano in the 13th minute of play forced Peripiri's goalkeeper Valdo das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guilherme Peixoto scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dráusio Gerber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th minute Carlos Alberto Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Carijos EC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Senna came free, but Dráusio Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Zé Roberto de Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peripiri's protests and gave Zé Roberto de Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. Zé Roberto de Sousa hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Valdo das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Monteiro in the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Carijos EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Toscano to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Rafael Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Alberto Siqueira succeeded in the game's 29th minute to get real power on a long shot . Carijos EC's Dráusio Gerber hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-3! Guilherme Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Peripiri's Zé Roberto de Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Carijos EC's zone, Carlos Alberto Siqueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráusio Gerber came out of the goal and Carlos Alberto Siqueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Roberto de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cássio Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Dráusio Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Senna in the 43rd minute of play forced Carijos EC's goalkeeper Dráusio Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Alberto Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Gerber having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Monteiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Guilherme Peixoto might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dráusio Gerber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guilherme Peixoto ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Alberto Siqueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dráusio Gerber having to make a save. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carijos EC! 69 minutes into the game, Juninho Matos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carijos EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peripiri the free kick. A collision led to Carijos EC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Juninho Matos hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Jonas Monteiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdo das Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Carlos Alberto Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Durval Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, Carlos Alberto Siqueira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dráusio Gerber, 1-5. Miguel Senna might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dráusio Gerber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Senna ran back to his position shaking his head. Dagoberto Toscano hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Miguel Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Dráusio Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Carijos EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peripiri were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
