When Adalberto Leão came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Solista SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adalberto Leão couldn't finish the play. Nilton de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredão Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basílio Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basílio Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Ramalho got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Toledo. If Adalberto Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ramalho getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Juarês Vinhas hit a great ball. Alfredão Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilton de Almeida having to interfere. Enéas Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Pombal having to interfere. Percy de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Percy de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Solista SS getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Alfredão Teixeira hit a great ball. After 24 minutes, Manfredo Batista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Solista SS and the Ramalho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Manfredo Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramalho's Joélson Goiano got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Percy de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes, Hélio Santana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Solista SS and the Ramalho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th minute, Joélson Goiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ramalho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Almir Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enéas Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Solista SS's goalkeeper Almir Pombal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, Ramalho's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredão Teixeira came free, but Nilton de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Solista SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ramalho were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredão Teixeira was the one to do the kick off. Genílson Luz's late challenge caught a Solista SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genílson Luz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Ramalho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Luz to maneuver through the defense. Basílio Toledo struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Almir Pombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ramalho. Percy de Sousa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Almir Pombal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ramalho's Joélson Goiano got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Almir Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson Goiano in the 68th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Joélson Goiano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Almir Pombal. That made the score 0-3 in the 69 minute of play. Almir Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson Goiano in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joélson Goiano in the 77th minute of play forced Solista SS's goalkeeper Almir Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Leão in the 79th minute of play forced Ramalho's goalkeeper Nilton de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ramalho's Genílson Luz got a free kick in the 84th minute. Basílio Toledo took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Almir Pombal. Almir Pombal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. If Adalberto Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ramalho walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
