With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Augusto Schmidt in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charles Marinho saved Botafogo BA from getting behind. Botafogo BA's Charles Marinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Botafogo BA from getting a goal against them. Mateus Ferraz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adelino Loureiro's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Saideira Futebol Clube's Mateus Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Loureiro in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Botafogo BA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. Saideira Futebol Clube's Pedro Augusto Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Pedro Augusto Schmidt fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Pedro Augusto Schmidt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Charles Marinho firmly grabbed it by the left post. Adelino Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agostinho Schmidt charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agostinho Schmidt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Saideira Futebol Clube booed when Botafogo BA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Luiz Eduardo Mota in the 30th minute really tested Charles Marinho's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Pedro Augusto Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Augusto Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Charles Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adelino Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fred de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Saideira Futebol Clube's Pedro Augusto Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Botafogo BA getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Agostinho Schmidt hit a great ball. Adelino Loureiro scored 0-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateus Ferraz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Saideira Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Leite came free, but Mateus Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adelino Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Mateus Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Zé Carlos Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saideira Futebol Clube and the Botafogo BA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Charles Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Botafogo BA's Adelino Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Botafogo BA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Saideira Futebol Clube throughout the match.
