With a little luck, Portal's Vitinho Botelho got control of the ball when Gualter Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Luiz Eduardo Azevedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Vitinho Botelho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dráuzio Dante's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Vitinho Botelho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Francisco Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Francisco Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Maia in the 18th minute of play. Vitinho Botelho came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaibaras's Dráuzio Dante. But to his dismay, Dráuzio Dante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Dráuzio Dante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vitinho Botelho having to make a save. Fred Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Dráuzio Dante struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Vitinho Botelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaibaras. Vitinho Botelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Eduardo Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. When Jaibaras's Dráuzio Dante in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portal's goalie prevented a goal. Portal's Vitinho Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Dante in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateus Pires to make the kick off. Dráuzio Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Botelho having to interfere. When Fred Maia came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Portal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Maia couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Mateus Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portal's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateus Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Neto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes into the match, Jaibaras's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Faustino came free, but Francisco Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rômulo Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Rômulo Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fred Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Neto having to interfere. Francisco Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Portal booed when Jaibaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fred Maia came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Portal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Maia couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Mateus Pires reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Francisco Neto. The goal made the score 2-1. Vitinho Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Fontes in the 77th minute of play. Vitinho Botelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráuzio Dante in the 80th minute of the match. Dráuzio Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Luiz Eduardo Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaibaras's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Eduardo Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitinho Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaibaras's Sidnei Rezende was substituted for Gualter Fontes. The audience was convinced that Dráuzio Dante's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitinho Botelho was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Jaibaras had played much better football throughout.
