Paulão Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tostão Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Teodoro Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Profana's Paulão Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo de Castro in the 14th minute of play. Rodrigo de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18thth minute of the game Tostão Trancoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cristovao FC's Teodoro Paraíba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th minute, Caio Mumbach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cristovao FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Caio Mumbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Profana's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo de Castro came free, but Paulão Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Arnaldo de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tostão Trancoso scored 1-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro Paraíba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Arnaldo de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Profana's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo de Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tostão Trancoso made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cristovao FC's zone, Arnaldo de Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Paraíba came out of the goal and Arnaldo de Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th match minute, Cristovao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Travassos to maneuver through the defense. Cristovao FC's Teodoro Paraíba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Cristovao FC from getting a goal against them. Arnaldo de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edvaldo Matorin hit a great ball. Wilton Travassos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulão Gonçalves. Profana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Cristovao FC booed when Profana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulão Gonçalves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caio Mumbach's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Tostão Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Caio Mumbach ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulão Gonçalves was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Arnaldo de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Paraíba having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Cristovao FC could leave the field as winners, despite Profana having more of the ball for most of the match.
