After 7 minutes, Teodoro Prado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuiteji AD and the Perus AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Cuiteji AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Madureira to maneuver through the defense. Magno de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio Rodrigues in the 11th minute of the match. When Pedro Luís Perez came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Cuiteji AD fans jumped to their feet. In the 16th minute, one of Perus AD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Perus AD. 18 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Perez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Flavinho Cardozo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Perus AD getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Betinho Meira hit a great ball. In the 28th match minute, Perus AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomás Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute of the match Afonso Barreto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flavinho Cardozo skillfully saved the ball. Magno de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anísio Rodrigues in the 32nd minute of play. Reginaldo França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Magno de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcinho Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Reginaldo França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Perus AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cuiteji AD were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Luís Perez to strike the kick off in the second half. Flavinho Cardozo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luís Perez's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. The Cuiteji AD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
