Lenílson de Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sílvio Luís Dante in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, Paulão Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, EC São Gabriel's goalkeeper Lenílson de Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luís Dante. EC São Gabriel's Lenílson de Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save EC São Gabriel from getting a goal against them. Ezequiel Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Célio Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Mesquita having to interfere. 13 minutes in the game, Ezequiel Braga fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lenílson de Andrade having to interfere. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind EC São Gabriel's goalkeeper Lenílson de Andrade, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th minute Jerônimo de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Germano Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ezequiel Braga struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Lenílson de Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chantre United. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Ezequiel Braga took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lenílson de Andrade to make any attempt to save it. When Ezequiel Braga came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Chantre United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Braga couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute, Jerônimo de Moraes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EC São Gabriel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 43 minutes into the match, Chantre United's Sílvio Luís Dante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lenílson de Andrade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sílvio Luís Dante's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lenílson de Andrade firmly grabbed it by the left post. EC São Gabriel's Lenílson de Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save EC São Gabriel from getting a goal against them. After 49 played minutes, EC São Gabriel's Silvinho Arósio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Germano Mesquita came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in EC São Gabriel reached it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Germano Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo de Moraes in the 53rd minute of play. Sílvio Luís Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ezequiel Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chantre United were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after EC São Gabriel's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zé Augusto Tepedino took the corner. The corner led Chantre United's Ezequiel Braga to a score. 2-1 in the 70th minute. Germano Mesquita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Célio Lopes in the 73rd minute. Célio Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Mesquita having to interfere. Lenílson de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Dante in the 89th minute of the match. Lenílson de Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Luís Dante's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Sílvio Luís Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenílson de Andrade having to interfere. Lenílson de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chantre United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
