Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Túlio Magalhães started the match with the kick off. Ulisses Fernandez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Falcão Barral having to make a save. Túlio Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Valdemar Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Luís Eduardo Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17thth minute of the game Túlio Magalhães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chopeiro EC's Valdemar Britto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Paranapolis booed when Chopeiro EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredinho Urbano might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdemar Britto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredinho Urbano ran back to his position shaking his head. Valdemar Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Chopeiro EC's Geovani Cunha got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, Túlio Magalhães reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Valdemar Britto. The goal made the score 1-0. After a rather tough play, Paranapolis's Benê Guimarães got a free kick in the 36th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a little luck, Paranapolis's Falcão Barral got control of the ball when Ulisses Fernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chopeiro EC's Valdemar Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Magalhães in the 61st minute of play. Falcão Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Cunha in the 64th minute of play. Falcão Barral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulisses Fernandez in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Chopeiro EC's zone, Túlio Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdemar Britto came out of the goal and Túlio Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmílson Goiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdemar Britto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmílson Goiano ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Túlio Magalhães sped through Chopeiro EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valdemar Britto. Valdemar Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdemar Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute Túlio Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdemar Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Túlio Magalhães in the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Chopeiro EC's Olívio Figueiredo got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Godoi in the 82nd minute of play forced Chopeiro EC's goalkeeper Valdemar Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 played minutes Paranapolis got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Augusto Severo. After a defensive mix-up in Chopeiro EC's zone, Alfredinho Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdemar Britto came out of the goal and Alfredinho Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 played minutes, Paranapolis's Luisinho Godoi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valdemar Britto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paranapolis reached it. There was no doubt that Paranapolis were the better team. Paranapolis's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
