The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Arrudeiro SS's zone, Amadeu Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabrício Saraiva came out of the goal and Amadeu Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Délio Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonçalo Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Nóbrega in the 15th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guataquara SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Arrudeiro SS a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edmundo Brasil, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Guataquara SS's Gonçalo Furtado. 0-1. 23 minutes into the game, Jorginho Nóbrega cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gonçalo Furtado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amadeu Trevisan came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fabrício Saraiva could save by the left post. If Amadeu Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd match minute, Guataquara SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Amadeu Trevisan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabrício Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Cardozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorginho Nóbrega's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonçalo Furtado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Conrado Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Saraiva having to interfere. Jorginho Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Furtado having to interfere. After 42 minutes, Vinícius Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guataquara SS and the Arrudeiro SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Conrado Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fabrício Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Arrudeiro SS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conrado Cardozo made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Amadeu Trevisan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guataquara SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeu Trevisan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabrício Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Cardozo in the 55th minute of the match. Arrudeiro SS's Jorginho Nóbrega was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 61st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arrudeiro SS's goalkeeper Fabrício Saraiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amadeu Trevisan struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Fabrício Saraiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guataquara SS. Jorginho Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Gonçalo Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Délio Mandrak made a precise shot to the right of Gonçalo Furtado. Guataquara SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4.
