Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Canarama's Emerson Arce started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo de Sena in the 5th minute of play forced Guabirabas SC's goalkeeper Sebastião Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Guabirabas SC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Percy Fantini hit a great ball. Sebastião Alves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emerson Arce in the 11th minute. Sebastião Alves came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Canarama's Emerson Arce. But to his dismay, Emerson Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Canarama's Olavo Bastos got a free kick in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo de Sena in the 24th minute of play forced Guabirabas SC's goalkeeper Sebastião Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Paiva in the 31st minute of play forced Canarama's goalkeeper Nilmar Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Emerson Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes Guabirabas SC got a freekick which was hit by Percy Fantini. If Emerson Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Percy Fantini to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Remo de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 played minutes Guabirabas SC got a freekick which was hit by Percy Fantini. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remo de Sena in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastião Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nilmar Quirino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ian Batista in the 62nd minute. Nilton Lara came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nilmar Quirino could save by the left post. Nilmar Quirino was a little too slow when Nilton Lara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 1-1. Despite being the better team, Canarama failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
