João Paulo Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jerônimo Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marcelo Goiano came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Old Impale FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Goiano couldn't finish the play. If Jerônimo Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Benjamin Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If João Paulo Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedito Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dênis Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedito Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dênis Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Leopoldo Guerra charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Guerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 35 minutes into the game, one of Old Impale FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Benjamin Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Quintal in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Marcelo Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hugo Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Violeta's protests and gave Hugo Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Violeta getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Hugo Silveira hit a great ball. Benjamin Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Jerônimo Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Goiano in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamin Castro saved Violeta from getting behind. In the 52nd minute, Hugo Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerônimo Quintal struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Benjamin Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Old Impale FC. Marcelo Goiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Benjamin Castro made a huge save. Marcelo Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dé Paulista hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Old Impale FC's goalkeeper Benedito Ferraz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Violeta getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Didi Mendes hit a great ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Jerônimo Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Old Impale FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerônimo Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Marcelo Goiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Castro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Marcelo Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Castro having to interfere. Violeta's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jerônimo Quintal 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-3. Yuri Severo's late challenge caught a Old Impale FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yuri Severo helped the player get up and apologised. Violeta succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Old Impale FC had controlled the match.
