In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Old Impale FC's goalkeeper Benedito Ferraz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to TacaraCatica FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Dráusio Vides hit a great ball. Old Impale FC's Benedito Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Borges in the 11th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Edmílson Borges made a precise shot to the right of Benedito Ferraz. Old Impale FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Edmílson Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Ferraz having to interfere. Benedito Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the game, Jerônimo Quintal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rodolfo Queiroz. Jerônimo Quintal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 31st minute Tarcisio Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute Edmílson Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Ismael Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Old Impale FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TacaraCatica FC the free kick. When Dráusio Vides fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TacaraCatica FC's protests and gave Dráusio Vides a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th match minute, TacaraCatica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio Vides to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerônimo Quintal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edmílson Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedito Ferraz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Old Impale FC were furious when Douglas Baptista was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 54th minute, one of Old Impale FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Old Impale FC. The goalkeeper, Benedito Ferraz, was totally fooled by TacaraCatica FC's Alan dos Santos, who 57 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 59th match minute, TacaraCatica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo de Lara to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Marcelo Goiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodolfo Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Edmílson Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Ferraz having to interfere. If Edmílson Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Old Impale FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alan dos Santos came free, but Benedito Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmílson Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Benedito Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, TacaraCatica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Brito came free, but Rodolfo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tarcisio Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes, Raphael Vander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TacaraCatica FC and the Old Impale FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th minute, Raphael Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despite being the better team, TacaraCatica FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
