When Edgar Mattos came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Transvaal SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Mattos couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Marcus Vinhas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Transvaal SS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pedra Dura:s goal. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Pedra Dura. Vladimir Paraense stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ronaldão Massa. 0-2. In the 33rd minute Dráusio Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldão Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Transvaal SS booed when Pedra Dura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Silas Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedra Dura's Valdo Leite got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 42 minutes, João Francisco Correia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Transvaal SS and the Pedra Dura players grew even worse after the yellow card. Magno Monteiro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. The goalkeeper, Pedro Paulo Fonseca, was totally fooled by Transvaal SS's João Pedro Albuquerque, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The Transvaal SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pedra Dura were winning 1-2.

After 60 minutes of play Transvaal SS's João Francisco Correia was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Pedra Dura booed when Transvaal SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Francisco Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Vladimir Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, João Pedro Albuquerque sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pedra Dura's Pedro Paulo Fonseca didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Pedra Dura's Raphael Queirós got a free kick in the 70th minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Edgar Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Transvaal SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedra Dura's Pedro Paulo Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Sena in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Transvaal SS's Vicente Alvarenga got a free kick in the 74th minute. Valdo Leite was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 79th minute, Marcus Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdo Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldão Massa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dráusio Braga in the 93rd minute. The Transvaal SS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pedra Dura were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
