The supporters of Transvaal SS booed when Votuporanga Victory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válbson Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adelino de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Vinhas in the 8th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes, Transvaal SS's Murilo da Cunha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adelino de Castro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Transvaal SS reached it. Adelino de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Votuporanga Victory's Tony Britto got a free kick in the 15th minute. Ronaldão Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson Peres in the 18th minute of the match. Gilson Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ronaldão Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Edgar Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldão Massa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilson Peres's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Transvaal SS's goalkeeper Ronaldão Massa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Válbson Mazza came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Votuporanga Victory fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Válbson Mazza couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Transvaal SS's Ronaldão Massa got control of the ball when Tony Britto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute, Marcus Vinhas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adelino de Castro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

53 minutes into the game, Igor de Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Votuporanga Victory's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Transvaal SS the free kick. In the 53rd minute, Igor de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Vinhas in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adelino de Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Votuporanga Victory getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Válbson Mazza hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Mattos got free with Adelino de Castro in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 61 minutes, Diogo Paes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Votuporanga Victory and the Transvaal SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, Diogo Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Murilo da Cunha in the 63rd minute really tested Adelino de Castro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Transvaal SS's Ronaldão Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válbson Mazza in the 64th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilson Peres in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldão Massa saved Transvaal SS from getting behind. When Gilson Peres came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Votuporanga Victory fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilson Peres couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Carlos Augusto Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Votuporanga Victory's Válbson Mazza got a free kick in the 76th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Marcus Vinhas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Adelino de Castro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronaldão Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Válbson Mazza went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. 87 minutes into the match, Transvaal SS's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Peres came free, but Ronaldão Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Válbson Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Massa having to interfere. After 92 played minutes, Transvaal SS's Antônio Hames shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adelino de Castro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. A very good chance. Votuporanga Victory's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
