Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bernardo Leão started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nilton Bastos during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pedro Augusto Leão in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fausto Simões, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 5 played minutes Canto do Rio got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Paraíba. Fausto Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Barral in the 6th minute of play. Luizão Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Breno Linares kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Christiano Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute Canto do Rio were awarded a corner. Bruno Paraíba went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in Veadeiros FC's zone, Thiago Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiano Albuquerque came out of the goal and Thiago Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Bruno Paraíba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 22 played minutes Veadeiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni de Sena. After 24 minutes, Thiago Matos made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Veadeiros FC's Christiano Albuquerque tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Canto do Rio booed when Veadeiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Thiago Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Paraíba might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christiano Albuquerque. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Paraíba ran back to his position shaking his head. Christiano Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christiano Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Matos in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Thiago Matos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Christiano Albuquerque was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Thiago Matos made the kick off in the second half. Thiago Matos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Christiano Albuquerque made a huge save. In the 53rd minute, Thiago Matos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canto do Rio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With his leg Christiano Albuquerque managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Canto do Rio's Thiago Matos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pedro Augusto Leão charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Augusto Leão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pedro Augusto Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Canto do Rio getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jorge Campidelis hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thiago Matos in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christiano Albuquerque prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thiago Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Albuquerque having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto Leão in the 80th minute of play forced Canto do Rio's goalkeeper Fausto Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thiago Carioca during the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Thiago Matos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Christiano Albuquerque made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Bruno Paraíba sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute Luizão Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Veadeiros FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Canto do Rio were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
