Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Enio da Silveira made the kick off which started today's match. Enio da Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Rodolfo Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizão Zonta in the 7th minute of the match. Fausto Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Tróia in the 10th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Thiago Matos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodolfo Catarinense was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Fausto Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Tróia in the 13th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Thiago Matos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rodolfo Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nelson Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 23 played minutes, Nitero's Fabrício Paiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fausto Simões came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nitero reached it. After having played for 24 minutes, Thiago Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canto do Rio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thiago Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Soeiro in the 29th minute of play. Canto do Rio's Fausto Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fabiano Tróia in the 31st minute of play. In the 41st minute, Luizão Zonta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rodolfo Catarinense. The goal made the score 3-1. Canto do Rio's Fausto Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio da Silveira in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thiago Matos made a kick off. Fausto Simões was a little too slow when Enio da Silveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 3-3. After 55 minutes of play, Canto do Rio's Thiago Matos made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Catarinense was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Nitero's José Maria Soeiro got a free kick in the 59th minute. Canto do Rio's Thiago Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thiago Matos scored 5-3 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodolfo Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Enio da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Canto do Rio's Fausto Simões proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Canto do Rio from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nitero's goalkeeper Rodolfo Catarinense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luizão Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Enio da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thiago Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enio da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Canto do Rio's goalkeeper Fausto Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tales Schmidt. Rodolfo Catarinense came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Canto do Rio's Bruno Paraíba. But to his dismay, Bruno Paraíba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-3. 96 minutes into the match, Thiago Matos notched a goal, 8-3, to the right of Nitero's Rodolfo Catarinense. Rodolfo Catarinense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nitero's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
