The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wágner Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lauro Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wágner Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Christian Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lauro Paiva took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised César Pombal. César Pombal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 32 minutes into the match, ArauCity Atletic Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Araújo came free, but Wágner Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Victor Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Simão in the 35th minute of play forced ArauCity Atletic Club's goalkeeper Wágner Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Cupijo's Ramiro Simão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wágner Cruz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Ramiro Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Cruz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cupijo's zone, Lauro Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Pombal came out of the goal and Lauro Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wágner Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Araújo in the 47th minute of the match.

César Pombal came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by ArauCity Atletic Club's Lauro Paiva. But to his dismay, Lauro Paiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. César Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Paiva in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cupijo's Ramiro Simão got a free kick in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramiro Simão got free with Wágner Cruz in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lauro Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. César Pombal came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by ArauCity Atletic Club's Lauro Paiva. But to his dismay, Lauro Paiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Lauro Paiva hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Ramiro Simão succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-2 in the 75th playminute. Christian Santos's late challenge caught a Cupijo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Santos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th match minute, ArauCity Atletic Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Santos to maneuver through the defense. Wágner Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramiro Simão in the 82nd minute. Wágner Cruz was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Danilo Siqueira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Danilo Siqueira really showed his touch with that goal: 4-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lauro Paiva in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg César Pombal saved Cupijo from getting behind.
