Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lúcio Peres took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Ibicaba getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Tadeu Coelho hit a great ball. Lúcio Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Zé Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ibicaba's Zé Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Vieira in the 18th minute of play. Lauro Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Clemente Ceresso made a huge save. In the 27th minute Fausto Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Lúcio Peres came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Buturussu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Peres couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute Lúcio Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lúcio Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Neiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lúcio Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Mota to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Ibicaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Sá to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Buturussu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tony da Silveira came free, but Clemente Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Buturussu FC's Lúcio Peres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Neiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lúcio Peres struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Zé Neiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buturussu FC. If Moisés Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Buturussu FC booed when Ibicaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Ramos in the 63rd minute of play. Lúcio Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Neiva having to interfere. Clemente Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Mota in the 68th minute of the match. Ronaldo Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Zé Neiva made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Lúcio Peres sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Buturussu FC defense, Lauro Ramos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clemente Ceresso. The Buturussu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clemente Ceresso should have stopped the shot. After 88 minutes of play, Ibicaba's Lauro Ramos made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Ceresso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Moisés Vieira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zé Neiva came out and tried to block the shot, but Moisés Vieira slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 92nd minute. The Ibicaba players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
