Crisopolis's Luisinho Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Reis in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Cerezo in the 5th minute of play forced Ipanana's goalkeeper Michel de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Juarês Quirino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Crisopolis booed when Ipanana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adelino Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Luisinho Pitta made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Celso Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crisopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Cerezo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel de Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Juarês Quirino fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crisopolis's protests and gave Juarês Quirino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Juarês Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juarês Quirino took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michel de Amorim. Michel de Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Wellington Mendes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Michel de Amorim. Ipanana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Celso Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 35 played minutes Ipanana got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Quadros. Juarês Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After the first half Crisopolis were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Germano Rodrigues was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, José Maria de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crisopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but José Maria de Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 73rd minute Celso Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Juarês Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 80 minutes into the match, Ipanana's goal looked a bit too open when Juarês Quirino came free, but Michel de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pedro Luís Quadros fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ipanana's protests and gave Pedro Luís Quadros a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ipanana's Zézinho Netto got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute Celso Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Crisopolis getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. José Maria de Salles hit a great ball. Michel de Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Cerezo in the 90th minute. Juarês Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The supporters of Ipanana booed when Crisopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Germano Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Crisopolis played a much better game than Ipanana and deserved their victory. The Ipanana players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
