In the 8th minute Celso Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerônimo Meira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Veloso having to make a save. A collision led to Galicioli F.C getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Patrick Baiano hit a great ball. Luisinho Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The supporters of Crisopolis booed when Galicioli F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Galicioli F.C were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Crisopolis side.
