The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, BRAGA's Rodrigo das Neves got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 21 minutes of play, Crobas FC's Serginho Secco made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rich Russell was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Váldson Alves came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Crobas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Váldson Alves couldn't finish the play. Silvinho Velasco's late challenge caught a Crobas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvinho Velasco helped the player get up and apologised. When Serginho Secco came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Crobas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serginho Secco couldn't finish the play. Rich Russell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Michel Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Antônio Carlos Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the match, BRAGA's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Secco came free, but Rich Russell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvinho Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. BRAGA's attentive Silvinho Velasco managed to snatch the ball when Zé Pedro Pires made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Antônio Carlos Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willian Vale was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. In the 46th minute, Renato Rosado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The wind increased when Serginho Secco made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antônio Carlos Andrade in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Willian Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 54 minutes, Antônio Carlos Andrade made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Crobas FC's Willian Vale tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Carlos Andrade in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Willian Vale saved Crobas FC from getting behind. Joel Salgado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Willian Vale. Crobas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Silvinho Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Vale having to interfere. Egídio Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Vale having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Antônio Carlos Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willian Vale was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. The supporters of BRAGA booed when Crobas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serginho Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rich Russell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serginho Secco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BRAGA's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
