The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amílton Lara made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Laércio de Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. 5 minutes into the match, Jucatan EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luizão Bezerra came free, but Cristian Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonso Mota hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Murillo Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Luizão Bezerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristian Costa. Jucatan EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luizão Bezerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Hélder Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Costa having to interfere. After 19 minutes, Hélder Hoffmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Expresso Antares FC and the Jucatan EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jucatan EC booed when Expresso Antares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Hélder Hoffmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Costa was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hélder Hoffmann in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Costa saved Jucatan EC from getting behind. Laércio de Alcântara was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Jucatan EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kauã Galvão hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Cristian Costa came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Expresso Antares FC's Pedro Rocha. But to his dismay, Pedro Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Expresso Antares FC's Hélder Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, Expresso Antares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Vidal came free, but Amílton Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélder Hoffmann was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Hoffmann in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hélder Hoffmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristian Costa having to make a save. Pedro Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Laércio de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murillo Machado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amílton Lara. Expresso Antares FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Expresso Antares FC booed when Jucatan EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guga Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Expresso Antares FC. The supporters of Expresso Antares FC booed when Jucatan EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid de Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Hélder Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Expresso Antares FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélder Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Hoffmann in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Expresso Antares FC played a much better game than Jucatan EC and deserved their victory. The Jucatan EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
