Durvalino Mendonça hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. A collision led to Novo Hamburgo getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Edvaldo Torres hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Dorival Pinheiro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Expresso Antares FC's Amílton Lara. Amílton Lara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jan Pająk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélder Hoffmann went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 21 minutes of play, Expresso Antares FC's Hélder Hoffmann made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Pająk was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th match minute, Novo Hamburgo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Jan Pająk made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Hélder Hoffmann sent off a good shot on target. Celso Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Lara having to interfere. After 36 minutes of play, Expresso Antares FC's Adalberto Couto made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Pająk was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 40 in the game by Hélder Hoffmann from a close distance when the talented Jan Pająk managed to make a qualified save. Novo Hamburgo's players were relieved. 46 minutes into the match, Novo Hamburgo's goalkeeper Jan Pająk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélder Hoffmann. 47 minutes into the match, Adalberto Couto notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Novo Hamburgo's Jan Pająk. Jan Pająk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorival Pinheiro was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute of the match Matías Pimenta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan Pająk showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hélder Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Jan Pająk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Expresso Antares FC. Hélder Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Expresso Antares FC booed when Novo Hamburgo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorival Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Novo Hamburgo's Celso Rosa got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 73 minutes, Durvalino Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Novo Hamburgo and the Expresso Antares FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Expresso Antares FC booed when Novo Hamburgo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvalino Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorival Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Lara having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Novo Hamburgo's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Hoffmann came free, but Jan Pająk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80th play minutes Hélder Hoffmann shot 6-1, a short shot which went by Jan Pająk and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 83rd play minute Celso Rosa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Amílton Lara. 6-2. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Novo Hamburgo's goalkeeper Jan Pająk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Novo Hamburgo's Celso Rosa got a free kick in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Expresso Antares FC were the better team. Expresso Antares FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
