The referee ignored Expresso Antares FC's protests and gave Luizão Bezerra a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Expresso Antares FC's Luizão Bezerra got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Clóvis de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Amílton Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 9 minutes, Clóvis de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cascatinha United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clóvis de Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cascatinha United's Santos Fidensio got a free kick in the 13th minute. Geovanni Hoffmann stood somewhat misplaced when Hélder Hoffmann came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 15 minute. Geovanni Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Hoffmann in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, João Augusto Negri dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geovanni Hoffmann, 2-0. A collision led to Cascatinha United getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Aníbal de Queirós hit a great ball. Amílton Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Fidensio, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Santos Fidensio struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Amílton Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cascatinha United. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clóvis de Senna in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amílton Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis de Senna in the 34th minute of play forced Expresso Antares FC's goalkeeper Amílton Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Augusto Negri's late challenge caught a Cascatinha United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Augusto Negri helped the player get up and apologised. Ademar Quadros hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis de Senna in the 43rd minute of play forced Expresso Antares FC's goalkeeper Amílton Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélder Hoffmann hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clóvis de Senna to make the kick off. Clóvis de Sennas short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Amílton Lara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. João Augusto Negri got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Cascatinha United booed when Expresso Antares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santos Fidensio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cascatinha United booed when Expresso Antares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Luizão Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Expresso Antares FC's Víktor Dante got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 72 minutes Cascatinha United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hélder Hoffmann who took care of the corner kick. Expresso Antares FC's Amílton Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Expresso Antares FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clóvis de Senna during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Téo Leite charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Téo Leite the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cascatinha United's Téo Leite got a free kick in the 87th minute. When Clóvis de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Cascatinha United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clóvis de Senna couldn't finish the play. Expresso Antares FC's Amílton Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Expresso Antares FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Expresso Antares FC's Luizão Bezerra got a free kick in the 94th minute. Amílton Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Fidensio in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Expresso Antares FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cascatinha United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
