The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vitinho Palmeira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Reginaldo Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomás Lago might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vitinho Palmeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Lago ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Reginaldo Guerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitinho Palmeira was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reginaldo Guerra in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitinho Palmeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 minutes of play, Auriflama SC's Reginaldo Guerra made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vitinho Palmeira was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Reginaldo Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafa Donato to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Reginaldo Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitinho Palmeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Lago scored 0-6 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vitinho Palmeira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Auriflama SC's Cacá Recife got a free kick in the 91st minute. Auriflama SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
