Jano Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 11thth minute of the game Carlos Alberto da Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juatuba AD's Jano Novaes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juatuba AD's Germano Chaves got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Cássio Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jano Novaes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Alberto da Rocha's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Tadeu Brodel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jano Novaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Franklin Mineiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Zonta's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 30 played minutes Juatuba AD got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Santana. After a rather tough play, Juatuba AD's Raí Félix got a free kick in the 34th minute. Conrado Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jano Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juatuba AD's Jano Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto da Rocha in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Tupiniquins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeu Brodel to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Juatuba AD defense, Carlos Alberto da Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jano Novaes. The Juatuba AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jano Novaes should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Jacinto Zonta made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Alberto da Rocha struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Jano Novaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tupiniquins. Conrado Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Tupiniquins's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Zonta came free, but Franklin Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 played minutes Tupiniquins got a freekick which was hit by Dorival França. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Juatuba AD's goalkeeper Jano Novaes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Carlos Alberto da Rocha fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Juatuba AD's Jano Novaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Juatuba AD from getting a goal against them. Conrado Zonta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jano Novaes having to make a save. The Tupiniquins fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Tupiniquins's Conrado Zonta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
