Franklin Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavinho do Valle hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Yan de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Carlos Alberto da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Curutari FC's Aybars Pekdemir proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Curutari FC from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the match, Tupiniquins's goal looked a bit too open when Yan de Lima came free, but Franklin Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 played minutes Curutari FC got a freekick which was hit by Natã Maranhense. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Dorival França managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tupiniquins's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorival França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aybars Pekdemir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Tupiniquins's zone, Yan de Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franklin Mineiro came out of the goal and Yan de Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tupiniquins's Tadeu Brodel got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franklin Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan de Lima in the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gernando Capixaba made a kick off. Tupiniquins's Carlos Alberto da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gernando Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute Conrado Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aybars Pekdemir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Gernando Capixaba sped through Tupiniquins's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Franklin Mineiro. The supporters of Tupiniquins booed when Curutari FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafinha Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Curutari FC defense, Carlos Alberto da Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aybars Pekdemir. The Curutari FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aybars Pekdemir should have stopped the shot. Conrado Zonta struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Aybars Pekdemir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tupiniquins. Aybars Pekdemir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Zonta in the 77th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Curutari FC got a freekick which was hit by Gernando Capixaba. In the 82nd minute Conrado Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aybars Pekdemir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Curutari FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Natã Maranhense hit a great ball. Curutari FC's Aybars Pekdemir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Brodel in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto da Rocha in the 97th minute of play forced Curutari FC's goalkeeper Aybars Pekdemir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Curutari FC's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Zonta came free, but Aybars Pekdemir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Curutari FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
