Curicha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Eduardo Cordeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Gualter Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Egídio Batista having to make a save. Luiz Eduardo Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Curicha's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gualter Lima 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Egídio Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Lima in the 16th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Tibúrcio Simões cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Fred Fontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fred Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Lara in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30thth minute of the game Gualter Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curicha's Egídio Batista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Túlio Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Fontes having to interfere. Remo Chaves's late challenge caught a Curicha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remo Chaves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, ɢɛʀѳʜʋʍʍєℓs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Chaves to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Curicha's Túlio Vieira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fred Fontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Nelsinho Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Túlio Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Tibúrcio Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. When Luiz Eduardo Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the ɢɛʀѳʜʋʍʍєℓs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Eduardo Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. A collision led to ɢɛʀѳʜʋʍʍєℓs getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Nelsinho Ribeiro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Curicha's zone, Luiz Eduardo Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Batista came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jacinto Lara fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curicha's protests and gave Jacinto Lara a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Curicha getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jacinto Lara hit a great ball. ɢɛʀѳʜʋʍʍєℓs's Fred Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save ɢɛʀѳʜʋʍʍєℓs from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute Luiz Eduardo Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ɢɛʀѳʜʋʍʍєℓs's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
