In the 8th match minute, Dorizonense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Eger to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Tayio Esporte Clube defense, Válter Pimenta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexsandro Tasso. The Tayio Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexsandro Tasso should have stopped the shot. Dorizonense's attentive Jano Chaves managed to snatch the ball when Cléber Donato made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Dorizonense's Rony Abreu got a free kick in the 19th minute. Dorizonense's Giovanni Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson de Godoi in the 23rd minute of play. Alexsandro Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Braga in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Braga in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexsandro Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raúl Braga struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Alexsandro Tasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dorizonense. Giovanni Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vítor Schmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giovanni Linares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorival Secco in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute João Vítor Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovanni Linares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorival Secco went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Dorizonense booed when Tayio Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emílio Mattos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Dorival Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Linares having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dorizonense fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Tayio Esporte Clube a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Oswaldo Paranaense, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dorizonense's Giovanni Linares. 2-1. Dorival Secco took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giovanni Linares. Giovanni Linares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 68 minutes into the match, Dorizonense's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson de Godoi came free, but Giovanni Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovanni Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Schmidt in the 70th minute of play. If João Vítor Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Secco in the 93rd minute of play forced Dorizonense's goalkeeper Giovanni Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Tayio Esporte Clube's Mateus Correia got a free kick in the 94th minute. The audience cheered when Emílio Mattos's long shot passed Alexsandro Tasso's right side. It was 4-2, 95 minutes into the match. If Emílio Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tayio Esporte Clube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
