The supporters of Flamute FC booed when Pinheiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes Pinheiras got a freekick which was hit by Doni Couto. After having played for 11 minutes, Isidoro Bordat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamute FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Bordat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Walmyr Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidoro Bordat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcel Porto scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilson da Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 23 played minutes Pinheiras got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Porto. In the 25th minute, Isidoro Bordat made a precise shot to the right of Bernardinho Queiroz. Pinheiras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the last second Bernardinho Queiroz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Walmyr Vinhas in the 29thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After a rather tough play, Pinheiras's Doni Couto got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Isidoro Bordat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardinho Queiroz having to interfere. Walmyr Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Bernardinho Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Bernardinho Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 69th minute Walmyr Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardinho Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Bordat in the 70th minute of play forced Pinheiras's goalkeeper Bernardinho Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidoro Bordat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Walmyr Vinhas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardinho Queiroz was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. 79 minutes into the match, Walmyr Vinhas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardinho Queiroz. After 83 played minutes Flamute FC got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Ramos. After a defensive mix-up in Flamute FC's zone, Percival Baiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilson da Fonseca came out of the goal and Percival Baiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Walmyr Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pinheiras's Bernardinho Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Bordat in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute of the match Flamute FC got a corner. Pinheiras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Walmyr Vinhas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Isidoro Bordat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Bernardinho Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Flamute FC had played much better football throughout.
