The referee ignored Novilhona's protests and gave Noel Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Novilhona got a freekick which was hit by Noel Amorim. A collision led to Jaraguá getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Betão Veiga hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodoro Vasconcelos during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Jaraguá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Radoslaw Barniszke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Tande in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, Novilhona's Flavinho Paraíba got control of the ball when Edgard Meirelles tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 22 minutes, Edgard Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaraguá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Edgard Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaraguá's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavinho Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The wind increased when Teodoro Vasconcelos made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Jaraguá's Elivélton Jacinto got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Erasmo Cosme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Radoslaw Barniszke. Jaraguá's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erasmo Cosme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Flavinho Paraíba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgard Meirelles's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. If Edgard Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, Teodoro Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaraguá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Vasconcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Edgard Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Jaraguá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Meirelles couldn't finish the play. Jaraguá were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Novilhona to leave the ground with a draw.
